It has been over a year since I have posted something on this !Ahhh! I promise that this time, I am serious about keeping this up! We do not live by any family now so I need to do better. A lot has happened since Feb 4, 2011!
So here it goes....
This past year has been full of many changes! We welcomed Marina Lea into the family on October 26th 2011. She has really been a joy. I can't decide if she was more laid back or, this being my second child, I was. Things went along pretty well. Our only upset was in mid December the plumbing in the living room exploded and we lived outside of our home for 3 weeks on the kindess of dear friends and family! It was quite an ordeal for my poor parents (it is thier house we are living in). So Loren has been remodeling the master bathroom for the past six months and now that it is completed we are very excited to use it and I am very happy to have him not working after work! Although who know how long he'll let that last!
Marina was sleeping through the night a little bit before 4 months! She has been a wonderful sleeper! She is a happy baby. She was quick to crawl. She just has to keep up with Lacey! Lacey and Marina share a room and I can tell they are going to be friends!
I know this one is a long one and I am sure I could write much more but my writing would probably put you to sleep!

My little chef! Lacey loves being in the kitchen. She likes to watch us make dinner, bake cookies, etc. We let her "help" us out occasionally. Dad is a little more fun to bake with. =) He was the who let her get into this perdicament! Lacey loves mixing things, she obviously loves flour, and she likes it when you get the eggs out. She likes to watch you crack them and then insists on beating them. While sometimes it makes a mess, I am happy she's interesting in the kitchen...who knows maybe she can cook dinner for me someday! =)

This past year was good for us. We (especially me) did a lot of different things and experienced a lot of change. I hope this year will be good to us. So far it has been great. Loren and I got married December, 30 so it always seems like our anniversary always corresponds with the new year! We are still as happy as ever =) Thank goodness! ;) Olan came and stayed with us for a couple of day which was fun and then Paul and Margo came for the weekend. So our new year started off great! I guess if you want to talk about new years resolutions...I really only have one that I want to mention (there always lots of other things to improve upon!) but its becoming more oraganized and making sure I'm not wasting the day away! Wish me luck! This last week I did everything on my list! So maybe there is hope for me after all! haha!

Yum! I made a Key Lime Pie tonight! This has become one of our favorite desserts. Enid, my sister-in-law, made it for us and I just had to have the recipe. Not only is it delicious but its one of the only desserts that I actually don't mess up! =) Well, we are having company tomorrow so I cooked this up tonight. Hopefully the meringue is still standing up tomorrow.

It snowed last night! It is fun to have a little snow in Albuquerque, especially since I had gotten used to so much snow last year. Last night I almost couldn't go to sleep because the snow gives off so much light! It was beautiful. This morning Lacey suprised me for the third time this week by sleeping until 9:30! So we got a late start. We didn't get a picture of the fresh snow because Sassy (our dog) had already put many paw prints in it!
Lacey didn't quite know what to think of all this white stuff...but she enjoyed wearing her hat and watching me make a snowman. She also decided that snow was good enough to eat!
The snow is already melting but I'm hoping that there might still be SOME snow for the holidays...I'd better keep my fingers crossed! =)

Potty training can be a real experience. We have been working with Lacey for a long time on this. I am very excited because recently she has begun to tell me when she needs to go! Before it was just a kind of routine we did! Anyway....Sunday after lunch Loren did his duty and took her to the restroom. This is what I saw. haha Got to make it interesting somehow! =)

Maybe I will be better at this whole blogging thing...I finally have internet at my house. I have spent the last year and half with out internet. Pretty incredible really.
Anyway I still do not know how to put pictures on here...I'll have to recruit a couple of friends to show me how.
Well life definitely has been quite the adventure. We have moved so many times in the past year and half it is ridiculous. We moved to CO as you can see from earlier posts. And there we lived with Loren's parents for a month or so...then we rented a single wide from a very nice family down the road and lived in it for about 6 months. Then the double wide that Paul and Margo planned on fixing up was fixed up so we moved a little further down the little dirt road. =) We stayed there for about 6 months. Now we are back in ABQ.
Lacey loved living in the country. She had these two little kittens that she was outside playing with everyday. Before we moved back to Albuquerque we got a puppy. Lacey like Sass but she is a little disappointed that the dog is too big to pick up.
Life brings you places you never thought you would be. When you are just starting out in your adult life you plan for all these great things thinking that nothing will really change them. Ha! Our plan worked for about a year and half and then life took us by surprise. =) Some surprises, like Lacey, are WONDERFUL and others not so much. But it has been a good experience to realize that I am not in control...So...I hope where ever we go or stay or what comes our way that we will have the courage to face it and be happy!
