Yum! I made a Key Lime Pie tonight! This has become one of our favorite desserts. Enid, my sister-in-law, made it for us and I just had to have the recipe. Not only is it delicious but its one of the only desserts that I actually don't mess up! =) Well, we are having company tomorrow so I cooked this up tonight. Hopefully the meringue is still standing up tomorrow.

It snowed last night! It is fun to have a little snow in Albuquerque, especially since I had gotten used to so much snow last year. Last night I almost couldn't go to sleep because the snow gives off so much light! It was beautiful. This morning Lacey suprised me for the third time this week by sleeping until 9:30! So we got a late start. We didn't get a picture of the fresh snow because Sassy (our dog) had already put many paw prints in it!
Lacey didn't quite know what to think of all this white stuff...but she enjoyed wearing her hat and watching me make a snowman. She also decided that snow was good enough to eat!
The snow is already melting but I'm hoping that there might still be SOME snow for the holidays...I'd better keep my fingers crossed! =)

Potty training can be a real experience. We have been working with Lacey for a long time on this. I am very excited because recently she has begun to tell me when she needs to go! Before it was just a kind of routine we did! Anyway....Sunday after lunch Loren did his duty and took her to the restroom. This is what I saw. haha Got to make it interesting somehow! =)

Maybe I will be better at this whole blogging thing...I finally have internet at my house. I have spent the last year and half with out internet. Pretty incredible really.
Anyway I still do not know how to put pictures on here...I'll have to recruit a couple of friends to show me how.
Well life definitely has been quite the adventure. We have moved so many times in the past year and half it is ridiculous. We moved to CO as you can see from earlier posts. And there we lived with Loren's parents for a month or so...then we rented a single wide from a very nice family down the road and lived in it for about 6 months. Then the double wide that Paul and Margo planned on fixing up was fixed up so we moved a little further down the little dirt road. =) We stayed there for about 6 months. Now we are back in ABQ.
Lacey loved living in the country. She had these two little kittens that she was outside playing with everyday. Before we moved back to Albuquerque we got a puppy. Lacey like Sass but she is a little disappointed that the dog is too big to pick up.
Life brings you places you never thought you would be. When you are just starting out in your adult life you plan for all these great things thinking that nothing will really change them. Ha! Our plan worked for about a year and half and then life took us by surprise. =) Some surprises, like Lacey, are WONDERFUL and others not so much. But it has been a good experience to realize that I am not in control...So...I hope where ever we go or stay or what comes our way that we will have the courage to face it and be happy!

So I'm not very good at this whole blogging thing. I don't have internet so I have to update things at the library...and I would really like to update pictures etc...but I don't know how. When I go home to Albuquerque I'll have to have someone help me.
So far moving to Bayfield, CO has been an adventure...sometimes good...sometimes not. This winter has been VERY snowy. There is snow everywhere! We took Lacey sledding for the first time a couple of weeks ago. That was fun, it was so bright out she couldn't really see so she didn't enjoy it so much. She stayed with Grandma Margo and the rest of us went tubing! FUN.
We see a lot of wild life out here. When mom and dad came up for the holidays Dad got to see a bobcat...that was pretty neat! I've seen deer, elk, a bear (!!), and the other night a fox!! Loren loves it!
Right now we are living in a single wide trailor renting it from my sister-in-law's parents. Its pretty nice but very small and sometimes I go crazy sitting around in it!! Although it is nice for cleaning because there's not much to clean. =) We are looking forward to moving into a double wide that is a little bit farther down the county road. We are painting it, putting in flooring, etc, etc....oh the work!! I wonder if we will ever stop moving and ever stop having to fix things up!! haha...Oh well it'll be nice when its done.
Lacey is growing fast! She is crawling, standing, and about to walk. She cruises around my kitchen just holding on to the walls! She's a little smartie if I may brag a bit! =) She catches on to things quickly! She LOVES books, I have to admit that sometimes I hide them because otherwise I could be there all day reading to her! She knows that cows say moo...she see's one and moos...She plays peekaboo. Her favorite food right now is yogurt although cheese and blueberries are well liked too! She is a busy little girl. I can tell that she is going to love the outdoors and animals. I can't believe that she's almost one!!
I have two really good friends here but they live a ways away. So I do get lonely and winter makes the days seem even longer and lonelier but I'm looking forward to spring, which knowing my luck won't appear until April! Oh well ...the snow is melting a little turning everything to mud! More for me do I guess....CLEAN! =) This is all for now...sorry its sooo long it just has been a while!
